London Insect Control aims to provide a convenient and readily-available service throughout the entirety of Hackney. Our phone-lines remain open 7 days a week, and our staff are likewise able to come out whenever needed, often on the same day that we receive a call.
In addition to our experience with operating in the Hackney are, all our staff are dependable and fully licensed. Their level 2 certification in health and safety from the RSPH allows them to deal with infestations that would be extremely dangerous for untrained individuals, and we have a reputation for the safe and undisruptive manner of our service.
Below is a partial list of the insects we deal with and the treatments we offer, but if you wish to know more or if you would like a professional assessment of your situation, we always offer a consultation service to help you make up your mind.
Quick Call Back
Hackney Bee Control & Bee’s Nest Removal
Home-owners very regularly find themselves with large bee populations on their hands with little or no warning, as they set up hives in unvisited areas of a property or during absences from home.
Bees will sting people they consider to be a threat, and it has hard not to be considered a threat when living for prolonged periods of time near a hive.
We prefer to minimise the use of chemicals when dealing with bees, as it provides an easier experience, and our technicians are trained to remove nests and their inhabitants in one piece, but at the end of the day our main objective will always be to leave the customer’s property free of infestation by whatever means.
Hackney Wasp Control & Wasp’s Nest Removal
Even for people who suffer no reaction to bee stings, wasps can provoke allergic responses and even anaphylactic shock, especially since they will sting many more times than bees will if provoked. Even for those who suffer no serious reaction to wasp stings, it never advisable to deal with wasp hives alone – without protective gear it is impossible to get close enough to deal with nests, and the over-the-counter insecticides available will only serve to anger the swarm.
Hackney Wasp Control brings professional equipment to deal with wasps, including full protective gear and highly-concentrated Bendiocarb, a substance unavailable to unqualified individuals. Our technicians will ensure that the wasps are completely dead and that the hive is empty, and should you choose to remove the hive yourself after we have dealt with the wasps then you will only be charged for the wasp-extermination.
Hackney Hornet Control
Hornets are much more dangerous than wasps, and experts forecast that changing weather conditions in England will soon lead the even more dangerous Asian Hornet to enter the country. Most people cannot tell the difference between hornet nests and wasp or bee nests, let alone the difference between individual species, so our consultation service will always be at hand to keep you informed of the dangers your infestation poses.
Our hornet treatment is very intensive, specially designed to kill this particular hardy insect, which can often survive less-potent insecticides, and we always aim for a complete, speedy elimination of the threat.
Hackney Cluster Fly Control
Cluster flies will enter houses around Autumn time, seeking a place to hibernate over the winter, and when they emerge in the warmer months they can often fill up a house for days as they try to get out.
If you notice cluster flies nesting in crevices, it is always best to seek help eliminating them, as there will inevitably be far more of them than it seems at first, as they are well hidden and emit a scent that draws more cluster flies to them. It is almost always easier for Hackney Cluster Fly Control to deal with them immediately than it is to let them get out of control and swarm.
Hackney Bed Bug Control & Removal
Bed bugs are a special case, and the treatments we have developed have formed over a long time, incorporating modern substances and methods with more traditional laundering and washing processes that the home-owner can help with.
Bed bugs can survive long periods without food, they hide throughout the house and underneath floorboards, and their eggs can go on to hatch long after they seem to have been dealt with.
The only viable way to stop a permanent infestation is a comprehensive treatment plan, and our technicians will work together with you, giving you all the information you need to prevent further infestations, after which they will execute our special three-part extermination programme, using fogger sprays, growth inhibitors and Diatomaceous earth to remove the bed bug population and stop any surviving eggs from reaching maturity.
Hackney Flea Control
Fleas, like bed bugs, are one of the hardest insects to get rid of properly, given their minuscule size and their ability to leave eggs nestled all over a household.
Most people are only familiar with fleas as an irritation, but they can carry diseases, most notably tapeworm, which many customers find affects both themselves and their pets.
Hackney Flea Control uses the same co-operative method that we use for dealing with bed bugs, combining our technical expertise with a programme of advice and preventative measures that make our treatment more lasting than anything available in a store.
Hackney Silverfish Control
Silverfish are small, nocturnal insects, that stay in nooks and crannies throughout the day, making them especially hard to detect. They will eat through wallpaper, loft insulation and even drywall, and while they rarely cause any real structural damage, their presence is often an indicator of a larger problem with a residence.
Damp conditions in the house itself lead to infestations, and Hackney Silverfish Control will always include advice about potential problems with a property alongside our usual extermination programme to ensure that our efforts have lasting effects.
Hackney Cockroach Control
Cockroaches are one of the most unpleasant insects to suffer an infestation from, and they are always a threat to the health of a household’s inhabitants. They should never be given a chance to get a foothold in a property, as they will not go away of their own accord, since they breed throughout the entire year in all conditions and thrive wherever they are allowed to.
At Hackney Cockroach Control, we recognise the need for an intensive treatment, applying heavy-duty chemicals right into the cockroaches’ hiding places, aggressively attacking the problem rather than resorting to merely preventative measures.
Hackney Spider Control
Reports of False Widow spiders in the UK have gotten many people concerned that they might be at risk, and Hackney Spider Control is committed to making sure people neither overestimate nor underestimate the threat that their spider problem poses.
Our consultations mean that you will always be aware of the options available to you, and we will never push for a treatment program where we do not think it will be necessary. For both poisonous and non-poisonous spiders, we always deal with infestations thoroughly and quickly, and we will try to provide as much technical information and reassurance as we can when doing so.
Hackney Ant Control
Many species of ant build their nests inside of human homes, and the most common complaints we hear of ant infestations deal with those species that establish colonies in inaccessible places in attics, basements and inside of walls.
An ant population inside a property cannot be dealt with by simply leaving out pesticides and getting rid of ants around the house – the population is so large that it must be stemmed at the source. Whether or not your infestation comes from outside or inside your home, our technicians recognise multiple varieties of ant nests and will always be able to track them down and exterminate them permanently by applying our professional chemicals to the hive.
