Quick Call Back
Brent Bee Control & Bee’s nest Removal
Most bees are usually harmless, and are only able to sting once before dying, but when their hive feels threatened they can attack in large numbers, increasing the chance of provoking an allergic reaction or anaphylactic shock, which requires immediate medical attention.
Depending on the proximity of a beehive to your home, you may or may not feel comfortable in leaving it where it is, but often bees that take up residence inside a habitation can be very difficult to avoid aggravating.
Bees are not aggressive if handled properly, and when possible our technicians will often try to preserve a nest and remove it and its inhabitants intact rather than opting for a chemical intensive method, which customers of Brent Bee Control often find to lead to a smoother insect removal experience.
Brent Wasp Control & Wasp’s Nest Removal
A wasp infestation is a rather different situation from a bee infestation, as wasps are considerably more aggressive and can provoke allergic reactions in people who otherwise do not get them from bee stings.
It is strongly recommended that you seek professional help when faced with a wasp hive in or around them home, as it is almost impossible to remove a hive without the proper equipment, and store-bought products are usually not only too weak to damage a nest, but will also serve to provoke it into a stinging swarm.
Bendiocarb, the chemical we use to remove wasp hives, must be used in high concentrations and with extreme care, especially near bodies of water, and thus only Barnet Wasp Control’s technicians are able to use it safely, ensuring that not only are the wasps completely destroyed, but also that the impact of our services on residents themselves is minimal.
Brent Hornet Control
Hornets are even larger, more poisonous and more resilient than wasps, and are among the most hazardous infestations that we deal with at Brent Insect Control. They are not as aggressive as wasps, nor do they swarm in such large numbers, but they can survive everything short of a complete, professional removal treatment, and if improperly dealt with they will deliver an immensely painful sting than can be deadly, especially for those allergic to wasps or if the victim is stung on the neck.
We deal with hornet nests very carefully, and after delivering an intensive Bendiocarb treatment (in even stronger concentration than is used with wasps) our engineers will always ensure that the hornets have been properly destroyed and that no survivors will remain who might prove dangerous.
Brent Cluster Fly Control
Cluster flies will usually hibernate during the colder months of the year, and they usually prefer human habitations for their warmth and the ready availability of small crevices and nooks they can hide in.
If you find cluster flies nesting in your house, it is best to get Brent Cluster Fly Control to deal with them as soon as possible while they are still in hibernation, as our technicians can then deliver a concentrated knock-down spray treatment to their chosen nesting place and remove them in one go without difficulty.
Brent Bed Bug Control & Removal
While posing no real danger, bed bugs can cause problems with bites and skin irritations, and many houses are unknowingly host to large bed bug populations or bed bug eggs. There are many traditional remedies and preventative measures for dealing with bed bugs, but there is no permanent solution to an infestation short of a full professional treatment.
Their ability to survive long periods without food and their rapid breeding cycle mean that even one unnoticed bed bug can renew an infestation. For this reason, our technicians concentrate on destroying the source of a bed bug infestation, targeting eggs and laying down a comprehensive prevention program for you.
We use a combination of conventional sprays, growth regulators and Diatomaceous earth to destroy the bed bug presence, and co-operate with the customer to ensure the infestation won’t return.
Brent Flea Control
Brent Insect Control has dealt with many flea-infestation cases over the years, and while for many people it may seem unnecessary to get professional health, it is easy to underestimate the extent and the severity of a flea infestation. Fleas often carry tapeworm and can spread infections, especially in households with pets, and we take the potential threat they pose very seriously.
Flea eggs can remain undiscovered long after the fleas themselves appear to have gone, and the most commonly-used methods make no provisions for long-term flea removal.
Our technicians use a multi-part treatment programme similar to that used with bed bugs, and they will also offer expert advice on flea prevention as part of our comprehensive service.
Brent Silverfish Control
Silverfish are an under-recognised nuisance, hiding in minute nooks and crannies and feeding only at night. However, given enough time to breed and establish a population they will eat their way through numerous household objects, even eating through wallpaper and wallpaper glue, necessitated redecoration.
A silverfish problem is almost always part of a larger problem with damp inside a house, and so our technicians are committed not only to dealing with the insects themselves, but also to explaining the causes of the infestation.
Brent Insect Control places particular importance on providing a holistic insect treatment, and we recognise that dealing with the underlying causes of an infestation is just as large a part of our job as the extermination itself.
Brent Cockroach Control
Cockroaches are the most obviously unsanitary insects we deal with, and unlike some insects that can be ignored or that will move on, cockroaches pose an immediate threat to your health and will also continue to expand their presence when left unchecked. They carry several infections and diseases, and given their habit of getting into human food they will often contaminate it with eggs and droppings.
Over-the-counter treatments and traditional cockroach traps will only tackle the most obvious and visible components of a cockroach infestation, as for every cockroach killed in the open there will always be many more hiding in crevices.
Our technicians at Brent Cockroach Control prefer to use a systematic method, targeting cockroaches where they nest rather than waiting for them to emerge, and our intense, localised application of professional-level substances reduces the mess and hassle usually associated with cockroach extermination.
Brent Spider Control
Ever since the False Widow Spider entered into the English news, we have been fielding a far larger number of calls to investigate spider infestations. Brent Insect Control is more than just an extermination service, and our technicians are trained to recognise what species of spider is in your home and what the potential risks are.
We always offer a consultation before undertaking a removal treatment, and so you shouldn’t avoid phoning to inquire about a spider infestation, even if you’re not sure it will pose a threat. We deal with all varieties of spider, poisonous or otherwise, and we can respond to requests very quickly despite the upsurge in spider complaints.
Brent Ant Control
All ants can prove irritating, and while they are usually encountered outside, there are many species in Britain that actively try to build their nests inside human homes. These ants, usually the Ghost and Feral ant, live off grease and sugar rich foods that humans often leave around the house, and they will seek warmth and protection by building their colonies into walls, floors, ceilings and lofts.
While the ants themselves can often be easy to see, it is hard for an untrained individual to locate the nest or nests that the infestation originates from, and simply leaving out pesticide or wiping down kitchen services will fail to combat the root of the problem. Thus, our technicians will always go right for the hive itself, and apply their treatments right at the source.
